Fall is one of my all time favorite times of year. The leaves turn into gold, red and maroon colors and make a crunching noise under your feet. The halloween decorations seem to go up in an instant and the spooky season is upon us. Football season is in full bloom and I am obsessed with it all. The fans, the rivalries body paint hahah. Every Sunday is filled with tailgating and beer and more beer. Thanksgiving turkey with mashed potatoes … I could go on and on about how Autumn is the best.
Autumn is also where everything seems to dull and fade and start to go way. The trees leaves although beautiful with their leaves change, are getting ready for Winter. All the gardens I’ve created in my yard are dying back and preparing for the chilly cold air. Fall is a sort of preparation and reflection period. I wonder if we do the same without even realizing it? Do we subconsciously prepare for the cold or boring winter days ahead? Are we able to take a step back and reflect the previous months of our lives to prepare for the new year. (What went well this year? What do I need to adjust) I never really thought about fall in this regard but it seems could be nice to do some preparation for the upcoming months and set new goals and be ready for when the Winter Solstice arrives.
Cheers
